Dinner Decor

We are planning on having a mixture of round tables and cocktail tables set up on the stage area of the theater. The round dinner tables will be covered in half black and half white table cloths with a napkin of the inverse color on each side of the table at each place setting. Each setting will be accent with either a black or white theater mask and a champagne flute. The center piece will be a black candelabra. The cocktail tables will either have a black or white table cloth and be set with a white lit center piece. There will be white and black masks on the tables, as well as, champagne flutes.

The back wall of the stage will be decorated with theater posters of various plays both Angela and I enjoy.

We are going to have a nice selection of hors d'oeuvre tables set up, coffee / cake table, cash bar and champagne for toasting.

Our intent is to provide an environment where people can meet and greet without the formality of a sit down dinner.

HOTEL ROOMS

There are hotel rooms reserved. The Clarion is the closest hotel to the wedding, but they have informed us that they will release any rooms not reserved three weeks before the wedding. If anyone needs hotel accommodations, Angela and I encourage everyone to get them taken care of early.

The Quality Inn on Hamilton Blvd has given us the cheapest rate. It is a short drive to the Orpheum and located close to the river front.

Da Invites

Our invitations are cream colored. They consists of a hand made paper outside, with a card stock center that has embossed lettering. The invitation is held together with a hand tied white ribbon. Located inside the invitation is our reply card, as well as, an information card with our registry information including the web address to our wedding blog. The estimated mail date is August the 30th, 2007.

The favour of a reply is requested by October 12, 2007.

Bridesmaid Attire

Angela and I have chosen for the bridesmaids to choose their own floor length, satin, black bridesmaids gowns. We have no preference on a halter top, sleeveless, "v-neck", etc. If any one needs help finding a dress please let us know, as we have seen some really nice ones when we have been out and about.

Music

Music will be provided by Majestic Sounds. They will be doing all the music the day of our wedding including before and after the service. They will be providing the sound for the service and making any announcements that may be needed. The Dance portion of our wedding will start at around 8pm in the evening and run til...whenever. If you have any specific requests for music you can use the contact information on the web page and let us know.

Photographer:
Our photographer is going to be Shawn from Everlasting Portraits. Shawn worked under Don Knop at Knop Photography Inc. in Ida Grove, Iowa and has a very successful photo shop in Mapelton, Iowa. There will be about four and a half hours set aside for photos with the professional photographer. The first hour, is of the bride and groom (this is the only time no one else will be able to take photos); The second hour, is of the bridal party; the third, is for immediate family and grandparents; and the fourth, is for all other photos.
